Abstract

ABSTRAK Nama : Meidiana Putri Program Studi : Pendidikan Sarjana Keperawatan dan Profesi Ners Judul : Pengaruh Edukasi Kepatuhan Minum Obat Anti Tuberkulosis Paru di Poli Paru Puskesmas Grogol Petamburan. Tuberkulosis (TB) paru merupakan penyakit menular yang memerlukan pengobatan jangka panjang dan kepatuhan pasien dalam minum obat secara teratur menjadi faktor penting dalam keberhasilan terapi. Namun, rendahnya tingkat kepatuhan masih menjadi tantangan, salah satunya disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman pasien terhadap pentingnya pengobatan yang tuntas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi terhadap tingkat kepatuhan minum obat anti tuberkulosis pada pasien TB paru di Poli Paru Puskesmas Grogol Petamburan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan pre-test dan post-test tanpa kelompok kontrol, melibatkan pasien TB paru yang dipilih secara purposive. Edukasi diberikan melalui penyuluhan langsung dan media edukatif, sementara data kepatuhan dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada tingkat kepatuhan pasien setelah diberikan edukasi. Pasien yang sebelumnya kurang patuh menunjukkan perubahan perilaku dengan mulai minum obat secara teratur dan sesuai jadwal. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa edukasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kepatuhan minum obat anti TB, sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya edukatif secara berkesinambungan untuk mendukung keberhasilan pengobatan dan mencegah terjadinya resistensi obat. Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that requires long-term treatment, and patients’ adherence to taking medication regularly is a crucial factor in the success of therapy. However, low levels of medication adherence remain a challenge, partly due to patients’ lack of understanding of the importance of completing the full course of treatment. This study aimed to determine the effect of education on the level of adherence to anti-tuberculosis medication among pulmonary TB patients at the Pulmonary Clinic of Grogol Petamburan Primary Health Center. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach without a control group, involving pulmonary TB patients selected through purposive sampling. Education was provided through direct counseling and educational media, while adherence data were collected using questionnaires before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant increase in patients’ adherence levels after the educational intervention. Patients who were previously non-adherent demonstrated behavioral changes by taking their medication regularly and according to the prescribed schedule. The conclusion of this study is that education has a significant effect on improving adherence to anti- tuberculosis medication; therefore, continuous educational efforts are necessary to support treatment success and prevent the development of drug resistance.
