Abstract

ABSTRAK Nama : Nurul Laili Maulidiyah Program Studi : D3 Keperawatan Judul : Penerapan posisi menyusui miring (side lying) untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan dan perlekatan pada ibu postpartum seksio sesarea di ruang perawatan Lt.1 Paviliun Iman Sudjudi RSPAD Gatot Soebroto Latar belakang : Ibu postpartum yang menjalani persalinan seksio sesarea sering mengalami hambatan saat menyusui akibat rasa nyeri pada luka insisi operasi. Kondisi tersebut dapat menyebabkan ketidaknyamanan, membatasi mobilitas ibu, serta mengganggu proses perlekatan bayi saat menyusu. Salah satu upaya nonfarmakologis yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi kondisi tersebut adalah penggunaan posisi menyusui miring (side-lying), yang membantu mengurangi tekanan pada area luka operasi sehingga ibu merasa lebih nyaman saat menyusui. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kasus deskriptif dengan subjek satu orang ibu postpartum seksio sesarea yang dilakukan selama tiga hari. Intervensi berupa edukasi dan penerapan posisi menyusui miring (side-lying), disertai observasi terhadap tingkat kenyamanan ibu dan kemampuan perlekatan bayi sebelum dan sesudah tindakan dilakukan. Hasil : Hasil studi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan tingkat kenyamanan ibu setelah penerapan posisi menyusui side-lying. Selain itu, kemampuan perlekatan bayi mengalami perbaikan yang ditandai dengan hisapan yang lebih efektif, posisi mulut bayi yang tepat pada areola, serta berkurangnya keluhan nyeri yang dirasakan ibu selama proses menyusui. Kesimpulan : Penerapan posisi menyusui miring (side-lying) terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kenyamanan ibu postpartum seksio sesarea serta membantu mengoptimalkan perlekatan bayi saat menyusui. Intervensi ini dapat dijadikan salah satu tindakan keperawatan untuk mendukung keberhasilan pemberian ASI pada ibu pasca seksio sesarea. Iman Sudjudi Pavilion, RSPAD Gatot Soebroto Background: Postpartum mothers who undergo cesarean section often experience difficulties during breastfeeding due to pain at the surgical incision site. This condition may cause discomfort, limit maternal mobility, and interfere with the infant’s ability to achieve proper latch attachment during breastfeeding. One non- pharmacological intervention that can be applied to overcome this condition is the side-lying breastfeeding position, which helps reduce pressure on the surgical wound and provides greater comfort for the mother during breastfeeding. Method: This study employed a descriptive case study design involving one postpartum cesarean section mother over a three-day period. The intervention consisted of education and implementation of the side-lying breastfeeding position, accompanied by observation of maternal comfort levels and infant latch attachment ability before and after the intervention. Results: The results showed an improvement in maternal comfort following the application of the side-lying breastfeeding position. In addition, infant latch attachment ability improved, as indicated by more effective sucking patterns, proper positioning of the infant’s mouth on the areola, and reduced maternal complaints of pain during breastfeeding. Conclusion: The application of the side-lying breastfeeding position was shown to be effective in improving maternal comfort among postpartum cesarean section mothers and optimizing infant latch attachment during breastfeeding. This intervention can be considered as one of the nursing care strategies to support successful breastfeeding in post-cesarean section mothers.
