Abstract

ABSTRAK Nama : Sekar Farah Setiawati Program Studi : D3 Keperawatan Judul : Penerapan Terapi Akupresure Terhadap Mual Muntah dalam Asuhan Keperawatan pada Anak Osteosarcoma di Rspad Gatot Soebroto Osteosarcoma merupakan kanker tulang ganas yang paling sering terjadi pada anak dan remaja. Penatalaksanaan osteosarcoma umumnya dilakukan melalui kemoterapi, namun terapi tersebut sering menimbulkan efek samping berupa mual dan muntah. Kondisi mual muntah yang tidak ditangani dengan baik dapat menyebabkan penurunan nafsu makan, dehidrasi, gangguan nutrisi, kelemahan fisik, serta menurunkan kualitas hidup pasien. Salah satu intervensi nonfarmakologis yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu mengurangi mual muntah adalah terapi akupresur pada titik PC6 (Neiguan) dan ST36 (Zusanli). Tujuan karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan terapi akupresur terhadap mual muntah dalam asuhan keperawatan pada anak osteosarcoma di RSPAD Gatot Soebroto. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan proses asuhan keperawatan meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis keperawatan, intervensi, implementasi, dan evaluasi keperawatan. Subjek studi kasus anak dengan osteosarcoma yang mengalami mual muntah akibat kemoterapi. Pengukuran tingkat mual muntah dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner Index of Nausea, Vomiting and Retching (INVR). Hasil penerapan menunjukkan bahwa terapi akupresur yang dilakukan pada titik PC6 dan ST36 mampu membantu menurunkan frekuensi dan tingkat keparahan mual muntah pada pasien. Selain itu, pasien tampak lebih nyaman, nafsu makan meningkat, dan keluhan mual berkurang setelah dilakukan intervensi secara rutin. Kesimpulan dari studi kasus ini adalah terapi akupresur dapat digunakan sebagai intervensi komplementer dalam asuhan keperawatan untuk membantu mengurangi mual muntah pada anak osteosacoma yang menjalani kemoterapi. Osteosarcoma is the most common malignant bone cancer in children and adolescents. The management of osteosarcoma is generally carried out through chemotherapy; however, this treatment often causes side effects such as nausea and vomiting. If not properly managed, nausea and vomiting can lead to decreased appetite, dehydration, nutritional problems, physical weakness, and reduced quality of life in patients. One of the non-pharmacological interventions that can be used to help reduce nausea and vomiting is acupressure therapy at points P6 and ST36. The aim of this scientific paper is to determine the application of acupressure therapy on nausea and vomiting in nursing care for a child with osteosarcoma at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto. The method used is a case study with a nursing care process approach, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The case study subject was a child with osteosarcoma experiencing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. The level of nausea and vomiting was measured using the Index of Nausea, Vomiting, and Retching (INVR) questionnaire. The results showed that acupressure therapy at PC6 and ST36 points was able to reduce the frequency and severity of nausea and vomiting in the patient. In addition, the patient appeared more comfortable, experienced improved appetite, and reported reduced nausea after regular interventions. The conclusion of this case study is that acupressure therapy can be used as a complementary nursing intervention to help reduce nausea and vomiting in children with osteosarcoma undergoing chemotherapy.
