Abstract
Anemia in pregnant women will increase the risk of perinatal mortality and morbidity because it can cause impaired nutrition and oxygenation utero placenta which leads to impaired growth of the conception. This study aims to analyze the effect of anemia in pregnant women on the health status of newborns. Method : This study used an analytic observational method with a cross sectional approach, the research was conducted in January-December 2022. The research subjects were pregnant women with anemia born at Koja Hospital, North Jakarta. The variables collected and will be studied are Hb levels of pregnant women, birth weight, birth length, APGAR Score and birth head circumference obtained from secondary data, namely medical records. Results : The total subjects of this study were 78 pregnant women with anemia. The results of the analysis showed that there was an effect of birth weight with anemia in pregnant women, there was an effect of birth length with anemia in pregnant women, there was an effect of APGAR score with anemia in pregnant women, and there was no effect of head circumference of babies born with anemia in pregnant women. Conclusion : This study shows that there is a significant relationship between anemia in pregnant women with birth weight (p=0.001), birth length (p=0.023), and Apgar Score (p=0.002), but there is no significant relationship between anemia in pregnant women with birth head circumference (p=0.355).
