Abstract

Kista ovarium adalah suatu pengumpulan cairan yang terjadi pada indung telur atau ovarium. Pada pasien yang mengalami kista ovarium dilakukan tindakan pembedahan yaitu kistektomi. Kistektomi merupakan prosedur pembedahan untuk pengangkatan kista pada jaringan ovarium dengan tujuan untuk mempertahankan fungsi hormon dan kemampuan reproduksi pada wanita. Setiap pembedahan salah satu yang sering dikeluhkan pasien adalah nyeri. Nyeri dapat diatasi dengan terapi farmakologis dan nonfarmakalogis. Salah satu tindakan non farmakologis yaitu teknik Relaksasi Benson. Metode yang digunakan pada studi kasus ini adalah metode deskriptif yang dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menggambarkan penerapan teknik relaksasi Benson untuk mengurangi nyeri pada pasien dengan kista ovarium pasca operasi kistektomi. Pasien mengeluh nyeri di daerah luka operasi dengan skala 5 dan tampak meringis. Penerapan relaksasi Benson pada pasien dengan kista ovarium pasca operasi kistektomi di dapatkan hasil terjadi penurunan skala nyeri menjadi 2 yang sebelumnya skala nyeri 5. Kesimpulan dari studi kasus ini bahwa penerapan terapi relaksasi Benson efektif terhadap penurunan intensitas nyeri pada pasien kista ovarium pasca operasi kistektomi Kata Kunci: Kista ovarium, kistektomi, nyeri, relaksasi Benson An ovarian cyst is a fluid collection that occurs in the ovary. In patients with ovarian cysts, surgery is performed, namely cystectomy. Cystectomy is a surgical procedure for the removal of cysts in ovarian tissue with the aim of maintaining hormonal function and reproductive ability in women. Every surgery, one of the most common complaints of patients is pain. Pain can be treated with pharmacological and nonpharmacalogical therapies. One of the non-pharmacological measures is the Benson Relaxation technique. The method used in this case study is a descriptive method carried out with the aim of describing the application of the Benson relaxation technique to reduce pain in patients with ovarian cysts after cystectomy surgery. The patient complained of pain in the surgical wound area with a scale of 5 and appeared to grimace. The application of Benson relaxation in patients with ovarian cysts after cystectomy surgery resulted in a decrease in the pain scale to 2 which was previously a pain scale of 5. The conclusion of this case study is that the application of Benson relaxation therapy is effective in reducing pain intensity in patients with ovarian cysts after cystectomy surgery.
