Abstract

ABSTRAK Nama : Desky Nugra Pritama Program Studi : Sarjana Keperawatan Judul : Pengalaman Ibu Postpartum dengan Preeklampsia Berat Preeklampsia berat merupakan salah satu komplikasi kehamilan yang dapat berdampak signifikan terhadap kesehatan ibu maupun bayi, bahkan berlanjut hingga masa postpartum. Pengalaman ibu yang mengalami kondisi ini penting dipahami untuk meningkatkan mutu pelayanan dan dukungan selama kehamilan risiko tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui arti pengalaman ibu postpartum yang mengalami preeklampsia berat. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Informan berjumlah enam ibu postpartum yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik dengan bantuan software NVivo 15 Pro untuk proses koding dan pengelompokan tema. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan enam tema utama: (1) persepsi terhadap faktor risiko, di mana informan mengaitkan preeklampsia dengan kecemasan, penyakit jantung, pola makan, dan aktivitas; (2) persepsi kondisi tubuh, dengan sebagian ibu merasakan gejala jelas, sedangkan lainnya tidak menyadari keluhan hingga tekanan darah sangat tinggi; (3) dampak fisik dan emosional pada ibu serta risiko pada bayi seperti prematuritas dan kebutuhan NICU; (4) mekanisme koping berupa penerimaan, pengendalian emosi, serta kepatuhan terhadap anjuran medis; (5) dukungan sosial, mayoritas dari suami dan tenaga kesehatan; dan (6) harapan ibu untuk pulih, menjaga kesehatan, serta memperoleh pelayanan yang suportif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman ibu postpartum dengan preeklampsia berat bersifat kompleks, sehingga diperlukan edukasi komprehensif, pemantauan intensif, dan dukungan berkelanjutan. Understanding the experiences of mothers who undergo this condition is essential for improving the quality of care and support for high-risk pregnancies. This study aimed to explore the meaning of the experiences of postpartum mothers with severe preeclampsia. A qualitative descriptive design was used. Six postpartum mothers were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically with the assistance of NVivo 15 Pro software for coding and theme development. The findings revealed six main themes: (1) perceptions of risk factors, where mothers associated severe preeclampsia with anxiety, heart disease, dietary patterns, and physical activity; (2) perceptions of bodily conditions, in which some mothers experienced clear symptoms while others were unaware of any complaints until severe hypertension was detected; (3) physical and emotional impacts on mothers and neonatal risks such as prematurity and the need for NICU care; (4) coping mechanisms, including acceptance, emotional regulation, and adherence to medical recommendations; (5) social support, primarily from husbands and healthcare providers; and (6) mothers’ hopes for recovery, maintaining health, and receiving supportive care. In conclusion, the experiences of postpartum mothers with severe preeclampsia are complex, highlighting the need for comprehensive education, intensive monitoring, and continuous emotional and social support.
